2018-2019 ANNUAL REPORT FOR CHRIST CATHEDRAL PARISH
MISSION
The Christ Cathedral Parish Community Outreach Program provides food and other resources to clients in need of assistance.
ORGANIZATION
Program Director: Mary Lou Walters
The program is staffed by 50 volunteers from CC Parish, students from high schools and colleges and the community at large.
SERVICES
Groceries are distributed from the Helping House just south of the Arboretum every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m and again on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon
The program also provides:
School supplies
Thanksgiving baskets for families
Christmas meals, food baskets and toys for children
Sleeping bags, blankets, jackets, hats and scarves for homeless individuals
STATISTICS
- 14,681 services provided to clients in 2018-2019
- Weekly meal service to an average of 80 people each week
- School supplies provided to 30 children
- 54 Christmas and 44 Thanksgiving grocery bags distributed
- Christmas toys provided to 96 children
- 80 survival bags provided to the homeless
